Blog Questions Challenge: Nature appreciation

So sorry, I've fallen behind on the Blog Questions Challenge, but I'm going to work to get caught up.

What's the silliest animal you've ever seen in nature?

In the wild, river otters. In captivity, a platypus.

If you could have any plant's superpower, what would it be and why?

Does Swamp Thing count? Because he's pretty cool. I'd definitely choose to be an Avatar of the Green.

Or do you mean real life? Well ... I guess I'd choose to have thorns.

What your favorite sound of nature and where did you last hear it?

I love the sound of moving water, particularly waves. The last place I heard it was a couple weeks ago in Chestertown, MD, USA. After hitting a brewery and having dinner at a distillery my wife and I walked down to the river.

If you could design your own perfect little nature spot, what would it include?

It would probably be a shady bank (I burn quite easily) beside some river or another body of water. Plenty of wildlife like deer and ducks. And absolutely no mosquitoes or other bitey insects allowed.

As posed by the Blog Questions Challenge Bot.

And since it relates, I'm adding a picture of the geese in Chestertown.

Five geese standing on a pier. Water past the pier. Then another pier with some sail boats.
